Your expert guide will meet you at the Inn on the Moor, Goathland to begin your guided walk through the North York Moors where you’ll be able to enjoy some of the most beautiful countrysides in England. 

You will see the Mallyan Spout Waterfall, which at over 60 feet, is the tallest waterfall on the North York Moors. There is also evidence of the Roman army on Wheeldale Moor, the location of one of the best-preserved Roman roads in England.

Surrounded by an abundance of crosses, stones, and ancient monuments, you will hear countless tales of folklore and magic, of thieves, rogues, and vagabonds, of saints and smugglers - making for one of the most intriguing walking locations within the National Park. 

Situated on the popular North York Moors railway line with its magnificent steam engines, Goathland station was used by Warner Brothers as the setting for Hogsmeade Station in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. 

And for 18 years, this beautiful part of the North York Moors was known to millions as Aidensfield, in the hit TV series Heartbeat. So take a step back in time and visit Scripp’s Garage and the Aidensfield Store before retiring to the Inn on the Moor for well-deserved refreshment. 

This is a gentle walk but walking shoes/boots would be recommended or at the very least training shoes. Depending on the weather a waterproof hat is also essential for individual comfort.
